A great run of a great show :)

Compleat Female Stage Beauty closed yesterday. I’m excited to have a little rest before starting up rehearsals for Silk Stockings at 42nd Street Moon here in San Francisco. In the meantime, I’ll be doing a set at Billy’s Showcase on March 10 in downtown San Jose and getting back to work on some long-awaited songs.

Compleat Female Stage Beauty is a hit!

Here are links to five outstanding reviews of our show. We had a standing ovation Saturday night January 29! (That’s me on the left as Samuel Pepys admiring Ned Kynaston.)

Happy 2011 and come see my next show!

I woke up January 1 with a great feeling about this year and a spirit of moving forward! Up first, I’m so excited to appear in Compleat Female Stage Beauty at City Lights Theatre Company in downtown San Jose. I play the famed British diarist Samuel Pepys, recounting for the audience the world of British theatre in the 1660′s as women began to act in public for the first time. (Prior to King Charles II, women were not legally allowed to act on stage and men played all the women’s parts!) The show is directed by my dear friend of many years, Amanda Folena, and features some of the best actors in the South Bay Area!
